Fast rides & slow days

With Adam's hectic (to say the least) schedule this summer, we have not had too much time to head up to the lake. This in fact, was only our second day on the boat this year. Sad, I know, especially considering how much Harper has taken to the water. We are hoping, however, that with his schedule this semester it might allow us a day here or there to get out.
Each time we have taken Harper to the lake she has enjoyed herself a little more. The only part she seams to have "issues" with is the wearing of the life jacket. I can't say I blame her, they are not fun. However, this time she brought along with her a new attitude and, though still looking uncomfortable at times, had a GREAT time. This was her first time in the lake water and it was definitely the highlight of the day, hers and ours. She just loves the water, is totally comfortable in and around it, and Adam and I could not be more thrilled. Be it a pool, a lake, or the dogs bowl, water is her friend and she can't get enough.
After going to the lake, we spent part of the next day at the pool with Whitley, and Tully. Tully is a little fish in the water and being around him has definitely improved Harper's aquatic skills. We all had a fun day despite a few clouds. After the past couple weeks it was actually a little refreshing.
